PD trip Logistics

Since I, Jimbo, am in charge of the logistics of the trip to PortDickson this coming 26th - 28th of April. My job in logistics is to deal with procurement, maintenance, transportation of any source of material, facilities and personnel. Or just simply handling of the details of the operation for the 21 people who are going on this holiday.

I have come up with the transportation plan and do speak up if you do not agree with my settings.

Mitsubishi Space Gear(Gasoline)
Maximum capacity: 7 passengers + 170litres of luggage.
Full tank of fuel: 55litres.

That is the end of the transportation part.

Now is the part where I handle inventory. Like what is allowed to bring and things not allowed to bring along.

Allowed electronic items: Mp3 player, cellphone, cellphone charger, cameras, camera chargers (PSP allowed).

Allowed items: Drawing items, drawing board(not recommended), sporting equipment.

Unallowed electronic items: PSOne, PS 2, XBox, XBox 360, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Gameboy, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GBA, or any other sort of gaming consoles. Laptops and desktops. TVs and speaker systems. Remote controls and printers. Vibrators and sex toys.

Unallowed items: Condoms, dildos, knives, guns, and any hazardous material. Fancy jewellry, animals .

Do remember that we are staying nearby a beach, and there is a swimming pool at the holiday apartments. Swimming goggles and swim wear are a must for people who want to swim. Snorkels and sand tools (for sand castle construction) optional.

I suggested that we have a BBQ party there before, but now it has changed because of the hassle. There will be no space to load in iceboxes filled with meat and also bags of charcoal. The BBQ is cancelled, so we will have to look for restraunts along the way for lunch, dinner and whatsoever.

Toiletries. I was told that during the Bukit Tinggi trip, all who went up brought their toothbrush but no one brought a single tube of toothpaste. I will not make the same mistake as they did, I strongly advise EVERYONE to bring their own tube of toothpaste. Anyone who uses Listerine or any mouthwash agents, do bring it along as well. BYO toilet paper if you fear of shortage of toilet rolls. Towels are highly advised to be brought as the apartments only supply us with a maximum of 5 towels.

There will be 21 of us homosapiens inside a 3 room apartment, there will not be enough beds to go around to fit 21 of us. Some will have to rough it out on the floor or sleep in the living room. 1st batch will sleep on the beds the first night, and they'll alternate with the 2nd group on the 2nd night. Those who are planning to rough it out, please bring thin blankets and sleeping bags. Preferably bring own pillows as well. No giant stuffed animals: giant Patrick dogs, supersized Winnie the Pooh or Snoopy.

Rendezvous point: Sammie's home. PM Sam for her address if anyone of you doesn't know. Do not leave personal home addresses and telephone numbers here as this is a public blog.

All who are in this trip are required to be at the rendezvous point at 0800hours on the 26th of April. Rendezvous point is set there is because we'll be driving on the KLIA/Seremban highway. We will be having breakfast at a mamak called Sri Melur Jaya nearby. We will depart as soon as we finish breakfast. Drivers, co-drivers, and navigators please be punctual, I will need to have a meeting with all of you on that day. For drivers and anyone else who doesn't know Subang Jaya at all, do contact me so I can pick you up at a pickup location. Drivers please send your vehicles for a check up before this trip. It'll take more than 1 1/2 hours to reach PD. Any drivers with health problems, please notify your co-drivers and navigators just in case anything happens. Passengers with motion sickness and other health problems, please notify me or Sammie.
